Trees & Shrubs Affected by the Freeze

Dear Owners,

We hope everyone is staying safe and warm during this unprecedented cold and freezing weather.

How Will The February 2021 Deep Freeze Affect Your Trees and Shrubs?

It may be way too early to know if your trees and/or shrubs were affected by the recent freezing weather. If you do have broken branches or limbs, it would be ideal to have them removed. Otherwise, patience and continued observation will be the key. Do not rush to remove shoots and branches that appear to be dead, it will be best to see how the trees and shrubs leaf out in the spring months. Should you suffer loss to trees and/or shrubs and need to ask for an extension for the removal and/or replacement of any tree and/or shrub, please contact acc@essexhoa.com to submit a request for extension.

Please remember that an application for modification is required prior to making any modification, installation, or change of any kind.   • Repairs/ Access to Units

    This is a friendly communication to advise the homeowners of Lewisville Waters Edge of an update on the ongoing repairs and system checks underway to correct or repair damages sustained due to the recent freeze. The Board and Essex Management are working closely together to resolve the outstanding repair issues still to be addressed and resolved. Please be advised that final repairs are being made to building 2 fire sprinkler systems. On Monday, March 1st the Board asks that all Building 2 residents be available to allow access to their units. If you cannot be available, please plan on leaving a key with a neighbor or friend in order to provide access to your unit between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. The Rescom Fire Sprinkler System Technician will be inspecting Building 2 units during this scheduled time frame.   • Lakehouse Reservation Policy Update

    Published: January 12, 2021

    Lately the Board of Directors have been receiving inquiries as to when the Lakehouse will re-open for general use and booking reservations. At this time, the Lakehouse continues to remain closed to reservations and general use. On and after April 1, 2021, with Spring just around the corner, we will accept reservations on a "conditional basis”. Specifically, owners can get on the list to reserve the Lakehouse for their events; however, the reservations will be on a conditional basis and final approval will be pending until the Board of Directors develops a re-opening plan with restrictions. The Board has drafted a Lakehouse COVID-19 Liability Release & Waiver Form as step one. The next step is developing a safe and prudent re-opening plan in accordance with CDC and State of Texas guidelines, combined with the input of Dr. Claudia Gabrielle and Dr. Michele Greer. The Board will keep you informed as we get closer to an approved plan. All this depends on the status of the current pandemic, which as you know is a dynamic situation.

  • Pet Rule Amendment and Registration Form

    At a November 2017 meeting of the Board, a unanimous vote to amend rules and regulations regarding pets was passed by the Board. Attached you will find a flyer reflecting the change in the rules. This becomes effective immediately. A recorded copy of the change in the rules and regulations will be mailed to all homeowners and posted to the website once it is made available. Thank you for your cooperation in abiding by these new rules.
